Unlike the typical photos shared of Tokyo, taken in the most famous neighborhoods with the most iconic buildings and intersections of Shibuya or under the bridges of Shinjuku, I chose to simply walk along the streets surrounding my residence. My work is to capture the aesthetic beauty of the city at night, but also to show the ordinary nightlife and diversity of Tokyo's residential neighborhoods, which are often overlooked in visual representations of the city. I hope my photos will allow people to see a different facet of Tokyo, less known but equally fascinating.
